Binomial Proportions

Binomial proportions are composed of a numerator and denominator of counts/frequencies. For each observation there can be only one of two possible outcomes. The numerator is a count of the number of outcomes in one of the two possible directions, e.g. test result positive. The denominator is the number of observations made/trials run.
